Welcome to our section looking at BBC One
BBC One is the British Broadcasting Corporation’s flagship channel. BBC One came into being on the 20th April 1964, following the launch of sister channel BBC Two. BBC One has a wide range of programming however it is considered to be focused on more popular, mainstream programming with higher audience figures compared to the more niche programming on BBC Two and the corporation’s other digital channels.
