Welcome to our section looking at the CBBC Channel
The CBBC Channel is a digital channel from the BBC. It shows children’s programmes, having launched on the 11th February 2002
The CBBC Channel (CBBC standing for Children’s BBC) is focused on showing programmes for slightly older children (over the age of 6) with younger children being served by sister channel CBeebies. Since 2012, the two channels have been the place for all the corporation’s children’s television output, having moved them off BBC One and BBC Two.
