The Doombolt Chase was a maritime children’s drama. The series starts out with a mysterious message being received and the resulting action of Commander David Wheeler ramming a civilian ship
At his court marshal, Commander Wheeler refused to say why he had rammed the vessel, leading to his son and friends to try and work out what had happened and clear Wheeler’s name.
